I can heal myself. 14. Water-ascending and fire-descending

The basis of life is based on yin and yang (生之本 本于阴阳). Heaven is yang and earth is yin. The sun is yang and the moon is yin. Fire is yang and water is yin. Men are yang and women are yin. Positive is yang and passive is yin. Dynamic is positive and static is negative. If only positive or negative exists without any opposition, life or life and death do not exist. The Taegeuk of Taegeukgi embraces yin and yang, and Sasang medicine classifies yang into sun and noise, and yin into taeeum and soyang. From Sasang, the Bagua appears, and from the Bagua, 64 trigrams appear again. This explains the changes in all things.

Breathing that receives energy from the sky belongs to the yang energy, and food that grows by receiving energy from the ground belongs to the negative energy (阳化气,阴成形). Food is further divided into positive energy, which has a warm nature, and yin energy, which has a lot of cold energy. If a person with a cold body eats cold food, health problems will naturally occur.

There is a saying, ‘Suseunghwagang’. In the natural convection phenomenon, the cold energy of the water rises and the hot energy of the sun descends, and this also applies physiologically and pathologically in the body. After middle age, there is a lack of water in the body, and the cold energy of the water cannot hold the hot energy of anger, so the heat rises upward, and at this time, the symptom of hot flushing of the face appears. Treatment is good if you use acupuncture or herbal medicine to replenish water energy and reduce fever, and this is also the principle of regulating yin and yang. The theory is the same as the cause of the disorder in hormonal metabolism on both sides, i.e., a decrease in female hormones (yin) and a relative increase in male hormones (yang). There is also an expression used that says when one gets angry, the positive energy of fire rises to the head and pierces the shade. There is a saying, “Don’t shake the needle without knowing the pulse.” This is because Jinmaek also looks at the state of yin and yang. It is all the harmony and action of water, fire, and yin and yang. If there is no birth, there is no death, and if there is no unity, there is no scattering. The way of the world, birth, old age, illness, and death are all constantly changing within the harmony of yin and yang.

It is recommended to drink 50% hot water and 20% cold water (阴阳水) in a cup on an empty stomach. It is also recommended to keep your head cold and your feet and stomach warm (頭寒足热), which is also for the harmony of yin and yang in the body. .
